If you used the recommend function (or something like that), you agreed to let it recommend people but you did not agree for LinkedIn to send you 2 follow up reminder emails, therefore you are entitled to some compensation.

Check what ever email you have connected with LinkedIn. They'll send you something if they think you qualify.

Yeah, my partner and I talk about this all the time. We're on here about 75% of our day and can't believe some of the crap that ppl throw on there. Wrong form of social media for that stuff. We've literally shied away from candidates for this reason before.

Well, I wouldn't hire somebody who posts the stuff you post in the political facebook thread on their facebook account, let alone their Linkedin account.

I wouldn't either and I've not ever seen anything as extreme on LinkedIn as on my FB feed.
If I was a hiring manager, it would be helpful knowing who the fanaticals are and mark them off my list.
