Cats are never in the game without him.  Played like a grown man today.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Just don't drive the baseline anymore.  Played a lot better than he did against them last year.

Deserves much more respect from our racist fanbase.

If you made his skin white and replaced "Puerto Rico" with "McPherson" there would never be less than 3 "Steve Henson 2.0" references on wabash station at any given time.

I'm not HBBIQ, but I see a lot of Jake and (gasp!) S. Collins in his game.  Not necessarily in how he produces, but in how he simply wills his team at times.  He is a treat to watch, I only hope the surrounding cast doesn't crumble around him in the next two seasons.

I also hope he doesn't bounce.

Jake comparisons are somewhat fair because his game has similarities.

I loved the tear drop over Withey. Beautiful and amazing.

I'd love to know why he stopped with the dribble penetration in the midway through the 2nd half.  The horrid turnover didn't help his confidence getting inside.

I was in 4th row behind KU bench about 20 feet away from that tear drop play wearing my #teamangel shirt. It was quite a moment in my life.

I think Angel is better than Pullen was as a sophomore and might well end up being the greatest career wildcat basketball player of all time.

Yep... Rodriguez completely owned the game in that first half.  He has improved a ton since last season.

tonight was the Angel that we want to see.   He played with a TON of energy on defense and was a pest.   He only committed that one silly foul on Withey.

Angel is now 30 asst/ 10 TO ratio in Big 12 play.   Cant ask for anything better

The one thing i would like to see is Angel hitting 3s at a better clip.   He is just 6 for his 24, and 12 for his last 48.  Thats 25%.  I dont expect him to hit 40% or anything, but he has the capability of hitting at a 35-37% clip.   He needs to really work at getting right behind the line when he shoots his 3s (a lot of his 3pt shots are 2 or 3 feet behind arc and he misses a lot of them)
