I can't recall a team regularly playing 2 different QBs and having a lot of success.  Maybe it's happened, I just don't recall it.

Anybody have any examples?
Florida the year Jesus was a sophomore, IIRC.
Sams is a sophomore  :excited:

Snyder won't say it but many inside program believe they may have best passing qb at KSU in years.

:sdeek:
That's not really saying a whole lot to be honest.

Freeman was here just 4 years ago. If Waters is better than Freeman that is saying a lot.

ND last year, Florida the first year Urban Meyer won it all, to a lesser extent OU the past two seasons, Oregon State last year was solid, LSU the year they won it all did it some.

I have good super-insidery info that Jack Walters has skills that allow TLBL to showcase what he can really do in ways that CK couldn't...  This is a VERY good thing.

The fact that you think I would even visit that cesspool makes me want to kick you in the baby maker.

I've played golf with a current member of the coaching staff on a number of occasions and we speak once in awhile.

I'm pretty bummed that our super EMAW stud athlete QB won't be starting against NDSU. I'm still holding out hope that maybe he wins the job before conference play starts or at least gets 15-20 snaps per game as the backup. He's just way too good to not be on the field.

I just don't see this team reaching it's full potential without a dominant running threat at QB.  When Klein stopped running without regard to his physical well being after OSU the whole offense was less effective.  Waters has to be more explosive than CCQ but I am still afraid of 2.5 yard runs on 3rd and 3 QB option keepers.

Del was not around when Bishop, Beasley and Ell took the program to new heights but I have hopes he has learned to appreciate what how great a dynamic dual threat QB can be.  Hopefully, this is more about Sams getting dinged than anything else.

That was because Klein was "meh" at best in the passing game.

That's not really saying a whole lot to be honest.

Freeman was here just 4 years ago. If Waters is better than Freeman that is saying a lot.
Well a few things. Everything after Freeman could qualify as "in years". These coaches weren't here for Freeman even if they were including him. And Freeman really wasn't consistently great here as a passer.

I hope Waters is the great, but that statement is vague enough to not really mean crap.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

if i'm honest, i'm a little worried the play calling will be our standard qb run game heavy offense. i know waters is reported as being a decent runner, but if we have a dynamic passer in there i want to spread the bitch open.

I'd honestly rather just slow the game down and keep our shallow and possibly shitty defense off the field as much as possible. Maybe the defense ends up being good, though. :dunno:

Yeah, but I mean "regularly" playing both QBs.  Like, splitting series more or less.  Rees played for ND, but Golson had the overwhelming majority of snaps.  Blake Bell only played on the goal line.

I just want to know if I can anticipate an offense that features Sams regularly taking snaps at QB in non-situational settings.

Del was the OC when Ell was practically unstoppable his senior year.  Ron Hudson held him back by being worthless.

Regardless, the actual offense we used when Coffman was here wasn't bad.  He just didn't have the arm or legs to run it effectively.  Waters does.

We have a very, very strong WR corps.  Waters is a solid pick here.  Also, Sams gives you a real curveball look to give a defense a few times a game, so we can keep them off balance.

This offense is going to be fun.
