Sorry, I just can't believe Waters will start over Sams. There's to much EMAW in the kid. I'm a #Life fan until proven otherwise.

If Sams wants to start, he needs to stop trying spin moves in the center of the defense. He won't make it through the first week of the Big 12 healthy doing that.

Ok, what happens if Waters is named the starter.....does Sams waste another year or two being a backup QB instead of getting on the field, as say a WR, and dominating? We really could not be able to have him move to another position since we have NO ONE ELSE at the QB position...you would have Waters and then, what, the water cooler boy 2nd string?

Waters and Sams are not going to play any other positions. As Pipe stated; there are no other qualified backups.

What I continue to worry about, is the evolution of Bill's offense and the QB run game pretty much ensures our guys under center are beat to hell by years end. Dang, remember poor Dylan Myer? I don't think we can expect Sams or Waters to be healthy for a whole year given what we do offensively. Even if he starts on day one, Sams' build, while very athletic, is slight. Maybe he is athletic enough to avoid clean hits, or maybe Bill will figure how to get him on the edge and in space in a cleaner/quicker fashion---boot/waggle type stuff. But given our recent history, either way, I expect to see both.

Very true, but maybe Synder will give him more designed plays like CK got last season. He still got smacked pretty hard. Hopefully Sams will avoid hard hits(

Every time Sams played more than 8 plays this year, he seemed to be limping around.
