I think we win, but its going to be an ugly, game. Two poor shooting teams that like to oboard. Both teams are particularly terrible shooting 2PT shots and K-State is slightly better at shooting 3s, which is a big key for K-State, especially from Will, Angel, and Tay. Huggs will have a good plan to make things hard for Rod to get shots, but that will leave openings. Both teams want medium paced games, and this game probably turns into a low 60's possession slug fest.
The two biggest changes oscar has made in K-State's team is cutting down turnovers and fouling. This Huggs teams is decent at getting to the FT line, but not great at forcing TOs. Really for a Huggs team this is a mediocre defensive team, but things can change in conference play and as others have said his teams will get better as the season goes along.
K-State has to handle an ugly game, win the rebounding battle (on both ends), and hit some outside shots. If we can get into the 60s we probably win and with the confidence this team has I think we do.
