If oscar Weber gets us to a final four then i will buy a shirt of Currie and Weber pissing on Frank and wear it to every K-State sporting event I go to forever.
This, except it would have to be winning the NC, and I'd only wear it until he trashes the program, then I'd put on a burn it down shirt.

Totally agree. I'll stand outside Bramlage Coliseum with a sign that says "PAY CURRIE".

in order of things (in theory) i want...

1)be really, really good under weber and have him stay for 50 years
2)fire weber tomorrow
3)average two games under .500 in conference over the next 7 years with oscar as our coach

You can count on rd always having "it" when it comes to modding like an ace.

I mean, Weber turning out good and staying forever would be best case scenario, obviously.

Yeah. Not only did he pull posts from another thread and create a new one like a boss, but he gave the new thread a really condescending title like a total stud.

I am afraid I will never enjoy listening to Weber speak, even if he wins.

I mean, Bill is not a dynamic speaker but I have come to love and appreciate his dry humor and the way he can give a 3 minute answer to a question without saying anything of substance.

Mr. Bread and other Illini fans, did you enjoy listening to Weber speak when he was winning?

does anything really matter when you're winning?  (the pro tip answer is no).

I can answer that question with a photographic example.

nobody WANTS weber to be bad, it's just inevitable IMO.

If weber is great, great, John Currie can still get caught in an undercover child prostitution sting though

Could you imagine winning a national title and seeing Weber out the door in the same season? May finally unite gE'ers and tucks as one.

If he wins, I'll love him.  If he loses, I'll hate him.  That goes for any coach K-State has ever had in football or basketball.

Except I still sorta love Ron.  And Wooly.

I'm bad at this.

Wait, were people worrying about oscar leaving us if he had success? Good grief. Have a little self respect.

I don't think Weber turning out good over an extended period of time is very realistic, given his history.

What is very good anyway?  Making the tourney every year?  Confy championships?  I mean, what are the metrics here???

It's not just that, it's that most schools wouldn't touch oscar even if he was successful here. He's old, and has been fired from a pretty good job.

Or at least 4 out 5. Contention for confy championships would be nice, as would the occasional sweet 16.

Pretty much what Frank did; 4 of 5 NCAAs, 4 of 5 finished in the top third of the league, won first round NCAA games, made it to the 2nd weekend once.
