I would just give us a 1 seed no matter what happens and then put all of the midmajors who make the tournament in our bracket so we don't have to beat anybody good to make it to the final four.

Just that all the teams in KC would be a bus ride away save Northeastern and SDSU(maybe, I bet they would bus in too).  I was not alive and/or old enough to remember but I have heard people talk about how in the 80s they started to move teams around to balance the bracket. 

Also, if you are a #1 seed in KU you are guaranteed a game against one of the two schools with the biggest redass for you and you are playing them right down the street from their campus.
