No doubt, a win over Baylor should move us up to 3. But can we stay there if we take 2 more losses @OSU and somewhere in the 66?

Losing in the conference final normally doesn't hurt you. If we lost to a team like OSU in the semis I don't think we would drop much from where we were projected before it happened.

We're getting to the point where besides looking at us, there are another 10-12 teams we can probably really follow. Primarily what we do matters (finishing at least 2-1 reg season) but what the others do is significant.

Teams to watch:
Michigan
New Mexico
Georgetown
Louisville
Arizona
Marquette
Syracuse
Okla State
Memphis
UNLV
Wisconsin
Ohio State.

should post in the other thread, this is a great time to watch bball

Not to mention that almost everyone we are competing with for the 3-4 seed is going to lose in their conference tournament.

Man, I don't really care about our seed anymore, although 3 would be great, I just want to watch my 'Cats play basketball in the Sprint Center :D

Unless something drastic happens, like KSU loses their next three and first game of the big 12 tourney, you will be playing in the Sprint Center come NCAA tourney time.

How much does Michigan losing hurt our 3 seed chances?

I am rooting for ISU to get another shot at KU in the big 12 semis and we enter the NCAAs on a 10 game winning streak.  I would hope that would equal a 3 seed at least but FLA would still be our only marquee win.

That would require us beating OSU twice. Probably not happening.

We match up pretty well with OSU IF Angel's knee is good but you're right it will be tough beat them twice in 1 week.

We'll probably beat OSU twice.

It's weird playing OSU first and last in conference play.  We seem so much different as a team than we did then.  All I really remember from that game is OSU's endless stream of pogo men dunking all over our faces and then Rod going insane in the 2nd half.

If we go 14-4 and make the P66 finals..... i think our chances of becoming a 3 seed are pretty good

OSU isn't all that great away from Stillwater. If we beat them at the end of the season, I would be pretty shocked if they beat us in the tournament.

The thing is we aren't beating them in hGIA.

So supposedly Lunardi moved KU up to the 1 line.  I'm trying very hard to see how the committee is going to justify a 1 line to a team that lost to TCU.

Maybe because every other team that is up for a #1 seed is losing games they shouldn't as well.  Not to mention we all know the committee loves the RPI, despite it being horribly flawed, and KU has a good record against top 50 RPI teams compared to other potential #1 seeds.

lunardi has the best job behind being a weatherman. 90% guesswork for 8 weeks a year, then common sense that anyone with internet and 10 minutes can figure out.. and if your even 1% right you'll be back next year.

None of those teams are losing games to teams as bad as TCU, though. I think KU is going to have to win the Big 12 tournament to get a 1 seed.

True.  It seems like the committee employs the old what have you done for me lately view.  Who knows.
