I always wonder if these are current snapshots if the tournament were today or end of season projections.

It depends on who you are looking at, Lunardi's is a current snapshot.

What the hell is wrong with these bracketologists? We could not play the winner of either of those first round games if they both have Big 12 teams in them. Also ISU is grossly underseeded.

This year has all the writers flailing trying to make sense of who is better than who and who isn't.  Everyone is vulnerable and has weakness.  They can't handle that.  It requires they actually understand the teams they discuss, rather than just yelling "Duuuuuke Baaaaaby!!!" based on record.

Our games are elite.  They committee wants that.  Also, Xavier.

They will forever try to make us meet them because of the quality programming we have given them in the recent past.

Will KU slipping off the 1 line (2 line?) have any effect on K-State playing in KC?

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

No kidding. What bothers me more than underseeding is when they get lazy with the placement of conference opponents. It's not hard to spread them out. The selection committee is allowed to bump a team up or down a seed to prevent this from happening.

Just have to knock off SD State, G'town, Michigan* and 'zona/Ohio St. to play in the NCAA championship!

Same with Illinois as an 8 seed. I don't care if they beat Butler, Gonzaga, and IU, they are 3-7 in the Big 10.

I would be giddy with a 4.  Unless KU runs the table or only loses one, I have a hard time seeing them above a 3.  Losing to TCU is just going to keep biting them in any comparison to anybody.  It will be impossible to find a loss within 75 rpi spots amongst the top 8 teams.

a KSU tourney game or two at the Sprint Center would be a pretty amazing atmosphere imo, would be nice if KU lost like 10 more games and dropped to another city to keep ticket prices down tho
