Well, I guess I shouldn't say lying to them - he's definitely worked on Samuels wing skills and given him an opportunity to play the 3 early. But Samuels doesn't seem like he'll be a full time 3, even though he is now a much better 4 because of Frank's excellent player development.

I'm sure Frank will have Southwell work hard on his PG skills, and be a much better 3 for it, also.

Exactly. If he recruited Spurlock, he could point to Samuels as a red-shirt soph and say "this is how I would play you as a red-shirt soph" I'd venture to say Spurlock's wing skills are probably better than Samuels at the same stage. He could give him the "combo-forward" speech we heard early this year. Probably as good as anyone will honestly give Spurlock.

Have we recruited Word of Life (Spurlock's HS)? Seems like we have...

He seems like somebody that would be drawn to Martin. Florida kid, looking for change of pace, chance to compete at high level.

But, his stats aren't too impressive. Granted, he didn't play much...

Maybe I've been spoiled by our recruiting, but I'm pretty "Meh" on this. Looks like a less skilled Dominique, and he's already burned some eligibility. Would prefer some comparable kids out of high school.

Who knows though, Frank has taken benchwarmer transfers before and turned them into all conference performers.
