Oh yeah.  A&M should adopt that color scheme Vancouver is wearing.

interesting trade, I love Ryan Miller but it's this the answer for the Blues, I don't think they were having goalkeeping issues

theyre one of the top 5 teams in the league and now they have one of the best goalies in the league. theyre almost a lock for the western semis, imo.

So they're almost a lock to win one series? Isn't this just another way of saying St. L is good but this trade doesn't address the greatest need? They don't have enough goal scoring, they need one more move.

I really like St. L's players but I hate Ken Hitchcock's face hard, uncross your arms, loser.

has nothing to do with being edgy.  i used to think i was unusual because i seemed to hate a lot more "things" than other people, but then i e-met mir on a bbs and you make me feel like a pure hate amatuer.  maybe i've just softened with age.  who knows.

:dunno: what's more hateable than the Canucks & a dumb Canucks crest with Vancouver spelled backwards?

speaking of hateable, dumb, and Vancouver; any guesses on the final destination of Ryan Kesler? I'll guess Rangers.

Going to be incredibly weird not having St. Louis or Vincent Lecavalier out there for the Lightning. Purely Stamkos' team now.

I hope he doesn't suck, TTHoTUC

He's not the scorer that St. Louis is, but he does everything well, he's a great compliment to Stamkos. NYR absolutely won the trade but Callahan is no bum, I'd love him in Phoenix and I hope he signs there this summer. If I were a Lightning fan I'd be furious with Yzerman.

Yea if he doesn't re-sign with TB it's a pretty big win for NYR. Even with St. Louis being 38 he's still a really good player and with a healthy Stamkos is really scary. The 1st rounder in '15 helps but TB had a chance to be a dark horse to come out of the East. Now they're still talented and got younger but I can't see them getting by Pitt or Boston. Personally I think NYR moved up to that 3rd best team spot in the East with their moves and I wouldn't be completely surprised to see them come out of the East now.

All in all thought it was a weird deadline. Some head scratchers (Berra for a 2nd, wtf Colorado?) and some bargains (not a big Vanek fan personally but Montreal got him for great value).

Looking at it now I think the Blues ended up overpaying slightly for Miller, but if he resigns without breaking the bank I think it becomes worth it. If they manage to win the Cup it's also well worth it. If they win the Cup AND he resigns it goes down as a great trade.

they overpaid but they had to do that deal when they did or they may not have gotten another chance

I'm happy the Coyotes weren't sellers but I wish we could have done more

He's okay, but it's time for him to hang up the skates. Two heart scares should be enough.

saying he got very lucky. yeah, time to hang them up. too much risk.

really classy move by the bluejackets and stars to postpone the game. hockey players showing some emotion is always nice.

sorry about your 'ning, King Winters. I did put a call in to the Coyotes to let your boys score a late goal so you they could get at least 1 point
