If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Was that a oscar quote today? Assuming so, I didn't catch interviews...

I absolutely love this kind of BS. Throw the team under the bus when the shortcomings are at your feet. Hard had nothing to do with it. Angel got Bruced worst of all.

There are very few things in sport that are worse than being outplayed.

Everyone can give effort and K-State fans know that with the right leadership this group of players knows how to do it.

Now they have no idea how to play.

You touched on it in another thread, but it is much easier to play hard and aggressive when you know what you are doing. Confusion leads to tentativeness.

Yes.

I don't think that oscar has lost this team yet, but clearly the team is lost. They just have no idea how to play anymore.

That said, if/when oscar does lose them...

I think if oscar loses them and they say "F it" and start to play without running a motion O, they might pick up a game or two. :dunno:

When I look at the schedule, I'm counting on the team mailing it in after a 1-5 conference start.  Look back at the conference prediction thread.  Damn near everyone had them above .500.  I think I was 5-13 or so.  I hope I'm wrong.  I hope they go 1-17.  #burnitdown

Guise, anyone remember 2 years ago? Preseason #3 in the nation. Bob and Brent in the OOD for our tip-off matchup with VaTech. Bobby all "Va Tech will play a lot of physical teams this year but they will not play a more physicaltenacious team than these Kansas State fighting cats of emaw." Asprilla, Wally, JamSam (defending big xii 6th MOY), DOB licking his fingers, Jake on the cover of SI, Frank on ESPNU trying to figure out how to put up his Christmas lights, Jake crushing Bill Self's ballsac in the 'Gon, etc.

It all seemed so big timey.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness rant but I'm just searching for some answers here....

I'm figuring between @WV, @TCU, OU they can stumble into a win.  After losing to KU by 40+, all hope will be gone.

Read this SI interview with Jim Calhoun (cheater) and I got sad.

But then again, I see other coaches saying, "My team won't play hard." What do you mean they won't play hard? If you only allow them to play one way, and that's hard, they'll play hard. I don't think anybody can say that about a Jim Calhoun team, not one game but over a period of time, that we didn't play hard.

What is the most disturbing to me is how utterly lost and scared  :dunno: we look.  I thought that Brazil trip was supposed to be good for building team chemistry and to adjust to the new system?  We have no chemistry, no identity, and we don't even have the same attitude or toughness that we brought every night no matter how crappy we played.  I guess there is still hope it might get turned around but I just can't see anything to be too optimistic about.

Hey, PC96, thanks for reminding me about what I used to have.  It's like leaving a tool outside in the rain, and it never is the same after that.  Only this is worse, the 'Cats have been treated more poorly in terms of improvement than being left out in the rain.   :embarrassed:
