I would be all for burning it down if it meant we could trade Bruces.

Why can't we just hope oscar wins, but real life PI him every chance we get regardless of what happens so he will be on the first life boat out of town? I mean it worked for Tech with Tuberville.

No, Tubs left Tech because he didn't think it would ever work out.  He told Dodd that he thought he had a better chance of making a big time bowl at Cinci than at Tech.  That is the coach rejecting the loser school, not the school rejecting the loser coach.  Completely different things here.

So if you see oscar walking down the street, roll down your window and scream "you can't win here!" If you see oscar at the grocery store, tell him anything less than a conference championship just won't cut it, and smack the produce right out of his cart. Then kick the produce when he bends over to pick it up. If enough people give him this kind of treatment, it's only a matter of time before he moves on to the Missouri Valley because "it's easier to make a deep tournament run there than at K-State" and then we could hire a good coach.

Would be very damaging to KSU to have someone say that they have a better shot at something somewhere other than KSU unless the other school was someplace traditionally better than us.

Yeah, I would rather have oscar crash and burn than have him be mediocre for two years before going to Wichita State.

He needs to just burn hot and fast.  a .500 season would be the worst.

There are actually a large number of people that were happy that Currie/oscar reclaimed K-State Athletics from the Frank machine.

There may be none on here.

Yeah, this is as dumb as making comparisons to Wooly. IMHO.

So your GPC account lapsed well before last March?

I haven't regularly read GPC longer than that and I don't care to. When I post here I'm not arguing against GPC logic. GPC has always had the worst basketball discussion of any K-State message board.

True, but they are vocal fans who are more likely to email the AD.  It's a given that there were people emailing Currie with their Frank hate.  I can also guarantee you that in his mind Currie validated running Frank because there were fans who felt like he felt, Frank was bigger than K-State and that was not okay.

oscar will never willingly leave KSU for a lesser school.  It is quite possibly the most detestable thing about him.  He would never admit, most importantly to himself, that he didn't have what it took to succeed at the highest level.  No matter how absolutely miserable he is personally he'll hang on until the bitter end, and then blame everyone but himself for his failure.  If oscar had any rough ridin' sense whatsoever he would have went the mid-major route after Illinois or simply retired.  He had every opportunity at Illinois to succeed and he couldn't hack it.  He didn't need a change of scenery; he's out of his rough ridin' element in high major ball.  He's here until he's fired or dead.

I hope oscar wins a national championship and then we burn everything down over the summer.  August, maybe.

If oscar wins a national title we should not burn anything down at all.

We should be really mean to oscar and  for job openings at major programs. It would be the perfect opportunity to snag oscar Pearl and turn a national championship into a really great run.

Title or no, if dude goes under .500 in conference twice he should be gonzo.

I don't particularly like Snyder but him winning lots of games makes me forget about that.  oscar can do the same.  I won't root for him to fail but if the real opportunity to get rid of him presented itself I would do whatever I could to make it happen.

It will be too late by then. Just look where Auburn would be today if they had let Chizik go after his title. They couldn't be worse.
