john wayne gacy what a scary psychopath and pathological liar.

I miss the Golden Era of serial killers. You could never get away with something like that nowadays.

Also watching the Mat Hoffman 30 for 30 for the first time in 10 years. I forgot how crazy he was.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

The Manti Teo doc is really good. He was absolutely done dirty. They tried to make the media at the time the bad guy, but, for the most part, the coverage was fair and it seemed he was lying his ass off.

I hope Naya is in therapy, she needs it badly, what a mumped up and twisted mind.

Diane O'Meara's story about the photo doesn't make sense to me.

Notre Dame really didn't help Manti out much, at all. It was apparent that they didn't really believe him either. They could have made this way easier on him. Brian Kelly was completely missing, he's a piece of crap.

I watched this doc on PBS about this British guy who is looking for snow leopards in a remote mountain range in Kyrgyzstan. Wants to document that they are living there so that multinational mining interests don't destroy their habitat. Incredible scenery.

Agreed.  I really enjoyed the Deadspin guys point of view and interviews.  I spent way too much time reading that site pre corporate take over and writers walking out.

Watched a heavy, heartbreaking doc last night.

HBO’s A Life of Crime 1984-2020. It’s actually a compilation of two previous docs of the same title by the same film maker. The film follows the lives of three friends over 36 years of petty crime, drug addiction and incarceration. It’s extremely eye-opening and gut-wrenching.

I advise having time to watch something light afterward.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Anybody else watched the Redeem Team doc on Netflix?  I loved it but I love olympic basketball more than the average person.  Also it packed a little extra emotional punch because of Kobe.

I watched the first episode but have not watched the rest. Was pretty good and something I will probably catch up on in winter.

One child nation on Amazon Prime is a great/mumped up documentary on china's one child policy and it's impact.

It's something I kind of knew about but when you hear people talking about how they threw away their first born daughter to try for a son...and all the 8 month abortions/forced sterilization china carried out on women who had already had children. WTF

Early 90's when china started to allow international adoption this guy would just drive around rural villages and collect baby's (mainly females) that had been abandoned in markets and on the side of the road then sell them to orphanages who would sell them internationally.

If you had more than 1 kid the Chinese government would just tear your house down.

The Jessie Combs documentary on HBO is really good.  I think it was originally planned to be about her breaking the womans speed record.  But ultimately about breaking the record and the crash.

I'm halfway through this right now.  Heartbreaking.  The people recounting the horrors and then saying they would do it all over again because the policy was necessary really shows the power of totalitarian state propaganda.
