We are going to have a very explosive offense next season. It is going to be a joy to watch. We also will probably start the season unranked, so the climb should a lot of fun, as well.

I think we have a very good shot at winning 8 or maybe even 9 games next season. It should set things up nicely for some really good teams in '14 and '15, as long as we can put a solid defense together.

Well, next year, we have big ?'s and DL, LB, and DB. Odds are against us getting the kind of results at each of those positions that our OL got this season. Also, I expect Sams to be inconsistent, just like any other QB in his first season as a starter.

I would like to say 10 wins but the Big 12 is very strong and will only be stronger next year. We'll go 3-0 OOC and then there are only 3 sure conference wins: KU, ISU and WVU.  UT, Baylor, TTU will be tossups and OU, OSU and TCU should be losses.  I would be pretty damn happy with an 8-9 win season. (of course I say this now, but come season I will probably be pissed off if we don't win the MNC)

Looking at the Big 12, there is not a single team that I would put in the "should lose" category other than maybe TCU, but there are about 6 games that I would call toss ups.

I would say 8-9 as well assuming Sams plays well enough.  The o-line and Hubert should make it easier for him as there won't be a ton of pressure on him to do everything.  The defense is one massive question mark across the board.  We will learn a lot about Tom Hayes' coaching ability.  We'll need to plug some holes for sure...I haven't really looked at our recruiting for next year but I understand it's pretty meh so far.

It's pretty meh, but it always is. I think the biggest problem is the number of holes we have to fill. I'm sure we will do fine in some areas, but holes in a defense are like holes in a boat. If you don't plug them all, the boat still sinks.

How will it be stronger? The top 5 QBs are gone, UT's QB situation is still uncertain, how much more improved will TCU's offense be? OU is losing their best guys on D and starting a new QB that will be worse than Jones.

That said, 10-2 is as optimistic as I go for next season. 8-4 wouldn't upset me, though.

OSU will be better. Baylor will be better. Texas tech will be better. TCU will be better. Texas will be better. OU will still be OU. ISU will be just as good.

9 games is the logical answer so with the LHC Bill Snyder bump (+3) we will win 12 and improve. It is really not that hard guys.

Our schedule is great next year. 8 home games for a new QB, most of the good teams at home (OU, TCU, Baylor's offense). If we can get past @Texas and @OSU we might be in for another ride.

@OSU is the only game I would be shocked if we won.

I don't think BU or TT will be much better after losing senior qbs.   Baylor prolly loses Williams to the draft as well.

9-3 sounds good, 2nd to 10-2 pokes and set up a #life championship senior campaign
