Pretty sure Auburn had one of the worst defenses in the SEC in 2010. Oregon made them look like superheros. Watching them get thrown around by LSU was painful

Arkansas was the third best team in the SEC last year. K-State probably should have been 5-6 in the conference but played their minds out and as a result got a legitimate top five team that was far and away the better team, but still only won by 13 and struggled to put the game away.

Maybe.  Stanford, Oregon State, Oregon, UCLA, and Washington all have solid defenses.  K-State would be right in the mix, but you're mistaken if you think the Pac 12 was a weak conference this year.  USC was preseason #1 and finished 7-5.

UT is a perennial top 5 team and routinely ends up 7-5 or 8-4.
