Being legitimately in the national championship discussion.

The fact that we got back to a point to experience the incredible hurt of losing that shot. Its much better to be in that situation than to never be in it at all, and now as K-State fans we've been their twice in the last 15 seasons. Sure it would've been 100 times better to win it and get there, but being part of the discussion is significant. This time at least we got a conference title and Fiesta as consolation.

I loved the fact that I could turn on/record College Football Daily/College Football Live/The BCS Countdown Show etc. and fully expect the Cats to be included in some capacity and often times in a large capacity.

In other words, I enjoyed having the national media all over our collective nuts all year.
