Is there a more passionate female fanbase than KU?

I just rode the elevator with this gal in the office next to me. KU grad. Blue scarf, Jayhawk I phone case, blue car with KU flair all over it, etc. It's like pulling teeth to get my wife to wear any EMAW flair when we go to games but these KU beasts can't get enough of their Rock Chalk gear. I think it's an inferiority complex deal with them.

Most EMAW chicks I know watch or attend games for social purposes. No long faces when we lose. KU females are all about being Gung Ho fans. Sad. My receptionist, Emily from Emporia acted like her dog died after that Kentucky game last year. Another one I know was in tears after that game. A KSU chick would be over it before the game started.

I think it's an insecurity thing.  The loudest and most obnoxious fans on my facebook newsfeed are KU chicks.  "ROCK CHALK this, ROCK CHALK that".  Lots of "GO KU" posts too.  When you're the little brother in the state, you sometimes have to yell to be heard.

Mrs. _33 doesn't care. I mean she's a K-State grad, likes the cats, but she doesn't really care at all.  Which is great. During the Mich bball game I was all like "NO! SON OF A BITCH BASTARD ASS!" and she's all like "hey calm down weirdo." And I'm all like "ya, I should."

I'm unconvinced by anyone trying to sway me otherwise.  I see these permed hair, muffin toppers waddling around everywhere in KC decked out in "Pink" KU gear.  I can't even imagine what it's like at one of their games.  When I go to Cat games I see a plethora of hot sophisticated Mom's decked out in tights, boots, etc with MAYBE 1 piece of EMAW gear. Maybe.  I like it that way.  I wouldn't want my women being torn to shreds by a Wildcat loss.  Leave that to me.

I think it's an insecurity thing. Their entire life Kelly K-State has been better looking, smarter, dated better guys and just overall been better.  Then once in a blue moon Janice Jayhawk has a chance to be a winner at something- her team is going to win it all, and  finally best Kelly K-State (although Kelly doesn't care about sports). 

BUT tucked in the back of Janice's mind is that victory will be snatched away in dramatic fashion.  She shrugs it off.  Not this year she says.  Our Hawks are so great, I love the rose ceremony.  Our arena is an antique memory lane (never mind that it is really just an old dump.)  We are KU!  Rock Chalk!!!  This is OUR time!  I'm a Jay-jay-jay-jay-jayhawk!!!  Then BOOM!  Crushing defeat.

We usually talk about our next vacation spot when we are pak'd.  Daily convos are pretty random.  Today Mrs. BF was bragging about deboning a chicken while breast feeding.  I told her that was pretty efficient on her part and that I appreciated the effort.

I have been a huge college football fan my entire life -- not because I'm fat, ugly or insecure. But I'm a bit of a daddy's girl, and daddy both played and briefly coached college football. I come by it naturally -- like if your family was always way into the opera, you probably have an appreciation for it.

But I'll listen off line, and try not to vomit into my beer at you weirdos who think women should be in the kitchen deboning chickens and breast feeding.
