anyone ever returned anything from amazon?  i ordered some headphones and i do not like them at all, so i want to return them.  are they good about that stuff?  i've never returned a single item ever in my life for any store, so i'm not sure how it works.

Ha ha, the exact same thing happened to me. I started the return process and I'll use the headphones until my new ones come. Paying return shipping sucks, but I don't want something I don't like.

I only pay return shipping when I don't want to drop off the package at ups.

Forget this stuff. If you are a business owner and you don't have prime, you're doing it very wrong.

some items have free returns, but in general you have to pay return shipping unless there was a problem with the item (broken, misrepresented, etc.)

I thought you could get free Kindle books via Prime. Is that only if you actually own a Kindle (through the Kindle Owner's Lending Library)?
Correct.   It is also only certain books, I think.  Similar to prime streamimg.  Not all movies are available for free streaming.
once you have a kindle you can then read the Lending Library books on any device with a Kindle app (like a android phone or tablet) so that is nice.

So the courier lost a package and i got a new one plus 60 dollars in free amazon goods.  I ordered something with that sixty bucks and the free two day shipping, it's a day late.   I wrote them an email saying I love prime, but the courier and usps deliveries need to stop because I had to sit at home waiting on  no package.  Free month of prime.  Amazon is fantastic. Although they do need only guaranteed shipping from ups or fedex.

I have amazon prime and I bought some stuff and it came in 2 days.  Then I realized that a couple other things I ordered as part of the same order were not prime and the delivery time is like 4-5 weeks.  What in the world?

They are books.  One is a textbook and it was not back ordered or anything.  Kind of inconvenient.

Some of the vendors that sell though amazon take a long time to get things sent.  This happens to me every once in a while too.
