Where the hell is Fergie?  Figured he'd be playing this game instead of Barnett (although Barnett did have some nice chase-down type tackles).

Fergie may be in the right place but is slow for his spot. Barnett may be in the wrong spot but has the speed to make it up. I'm no coach but I would rather have Fergie.

Barnett is fast as hell, chasing down some of the UT guys is no joke.  Also-  SD (I think) alluded to Fergie being hurt and that's why Barnett has got the last two starts.  I think Barnett could be a good one for us in the future.

Is Fergie in the doghouse or something?

On this week's LHC Bill Snyder show, they were doing the senior review thingy and Bill was like "fantastic young man, he really looked like he liked to hit, great young person, didn't work out, great person...."

I'd beware of any sd injury reports after the sippy sippy.

SD did not say he was injured, said it was something else (although he didn't publicly say what something else).

So do we have any idea if Zimsky will be back in time?

I take it the answer is no.

We don't have any idea. Speculated to be broken fibula surgically repaired a couple days after it happened. Speculated 6 week recovery time for that kind of injury. So he should be back, but without practicing or running or playing for 4 weeks or more can;t expect him to be close to full speed at all.

As long as he's back. Isn't he the the one who reads the offenses and make sure the D is lined up properly on the field if the coaches don't call it? I don't know but someone with hfbiq should explain this because I heard he was basically the field general when he's out there. That would explain why the D has looked like complete crap since he's been injured.

I was under the impression that AB called the plays.  :dunno:

AB probably relay the initial call from the sideline, but it is seems more practical to have a safety call out checks.

I could see Zimmerman being more of the schemer than AB... and lines up pretty, moves where hes supposed to, but when the time arises, he just goes off all beast mode.  Zimmerman always seems to have eyes on the whole field versus getting laser sited in like AB can.

It's funny how many people have posted in this thread since my last post. And by "funny" I obviously mean "annoying".

I am sure Zim will dress but it is hard to see him being able to run enough to be of much use.

Yeah that's important, but against a team like oregon I think I'd rather have someone who can actually move call out these adjustments.
