I hate to take away from the classification of everyone, but lots of people say they are "socially liberal" and "fiscally conservative" and I don't quite buy it.

Yeah, you want low taxes and don't hate gays, but how do you feel about people on welfare and social security reform and medicaid and affirmative action? It's really hard to be a serious fiscal conservative without taking conservative stances on those issues.

As someone who has said that in the past, I think when they say "socially liberal", they mean on social rights issues such as gay marriage, abortion, and the like and not so much about welfare programs.

Me:

Pro Choice
Against any legislation defining marriage
Increasingly anti war/intelligence complex, and fully understanding when it's hegemony and NOT the trite catch all "war on terror".
Against Draconian Austerity measures
For healthcare reform (but Obamacare isn't the answer).

this has nothing to do with any views or beliefs anyone posts to try to sway the judges or get some desired result. this is what the judges know for a fact about every one of you. you are already in the books as something. if you want to find out what it is you just have to ask.

Social Security and medicare/medicaid are going to die one way or another. Kicking them down the road doesn't do anyone any good.
