I just talked to some cousins in WV (hillbillies, but they are family. What are you going to do?). They all hate this idea. Sounds like a winner to me!

I did do the research the parallels are actually circles that go on the sphere and due to the curvature of the sphere the lines look curved. In other news, we are both on the 39th although the minutes are different.
