The good news is all the bickering over BW will be solved in a couple of years when we get a new coach

Probably true. Hugs and Frank raised the bar. I hope BW can keep it up, but I just don't have much hope.

I liked the part where Tay called him "Coach Weber".

He also called him a "cute little guy" or something.

But seriously:

Quote
With better administrative support he thinks the Illini could have contended for a Big Ten title in his final season. At the least, it would have made the NCAA Tournament. But once Illinois started losing close games, players realized Weber was gone. They couldn’t bounce back.

Watching them suffer was the hardest part. He has long been a player’s coach, and it killed him to see them so upset. Some came to him in tears.

Lowery noticed an instant change in Weber when he joined him in Manhattan, though. The first few months on the job, they were the only coaches there, working with new players. It was fun again.

No one was calling for Weber’s job.

You'd think for as much time as Kellis spends here looking for story ideas, he'd know better than to tell such a bald-faced lie.

Weber had trouble finding those players late in his tenure at Illinois. It didn’t help that it felt like his employers wanted him to fail.

“We got a new president, a new chancellor and a new athletic director. It was pretty obvious things were going to be different,” Weber said. “I gave my heart and soul. I do that every day no matter where I work. I worked my tail off. I guess it wasn’t enough for those particular people.”

This is absolutely shameful, and an insight into a losers mindset.  Huggs & Frank have had issues with employers but I've never heard or read them using the employers as an excuse for failure.  Pathetic.

yeah, that was a good guess, oscar. "Working your tail off" isn't often enough to satisfy employers that pay 7 figure salaries.

oscar Weber has the personality of a dead moth.

Will Spradling is an awful human being.

oscar is himself.  No one can say different.  I've met many a person not comfortable in their own skin.

But yes he is a dork.

Kansas State is a good place for a dork to succeed. He doesn't have to be cool or hip or anything other than himself.  He just has to be successful.

You have given me hope.

The tay-gruds-angel trio is going to have to carry the adorable torch alone this year, except for the occasional baby deer on ice appearance

Well, it's not having a compensation package worth nearly $2 million a year and showing up at at MLB game to throw out the first pitch in JORTS that's for sure.
