i'm pretty sure that he could train himself and work with people to have a normal voice. shitter? jimmer? something different, idk?

oh well though, why bother. pretty sure he doesn't have the diligence to make it happen. i mean why would you if you're making 1.5 without even doing anything other than having a recommendation from keady and a bill self champ game on your resume?

He can solve the voice problem by just shutting the eff up, especially during basketball games when he just distracts his players yelling minute instructions to them.

He is such a freaking moron.

met oscar in person at the Coaches v. Cancer event in KC.  Can confirm that his voice is annoying and he appears to be quite the dork.  It's like an adult going through puberty.  weird.

Weber had throat surgery when he was a kid that effed up his voice.

So what effed up his recruiting techniques?

Wouldn't you know better than anybody, BWebbs0?

Why would I know? It's just a play on words. I think we all understand his recruiting techniques are a bit out there, right?  :dunno:

I'm going to support Kansas State more than Frank Martin or any individual coach.

If you've really got a problem with that, you can just ignore me from now on, because you're not changing my mind.

Knowing that you must possess above-average logical reasoning skills, I think it's weird that you don't understand that posts you're taking issue with are those posters' expressions of support for Kansas State and hardly support for any particular coach.

John Currie at nutPAK can't comprehend that, but you can.

Quote
Without his job, he figures he would be in a hospital right now, nursing an injury suffered away from the basketball court. He always seems to get hurt when he’s not coaching. Weber pulled a hamstring the last time he played tennis, nearly broke his thumb the last time he tried table tennis and found a way to injure himself the last time he went to the beach. He has also twice been hit by a car.

“I go hard just like I expect my players to go hard,” Weber said. “Sometimes I just start running outside to remind myself that I’m alive. I have fun. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to get hurt. I don’t know the exact number, but I made something like 17 trips to the emergency room by the age of 14. The cars hurt pretty bad. My mom was always begging me to slow down.”

i shouldn't be surprised, but :sdeek:

Because I bought a season ticket, I suppose I'll go to Sunday's exhibition game. I find these games generally worthless and boring. Can someone here give me a reason to get excited about this game?

What in the world?

Quote
K-State was losing at the time, but players responded to Weber’s actions. They quickly took the lead and competed until the end, falling just short.

“In a tough, adverse game we had guys step up and make plays to give us a chance when everything – bad fouls, guys fouled out, coach kicked out – went wrong,” Weber said. “We still kept fighting. I loved that. That’s all you can ask for.”

He proved something to his players. Then they proved something to him.

When he returned home, his athletic director patted him on the back and he returned to the office, ready to work through lunch and avoid injuries.

I still must commend Trim on illuminating my two favorite Weber quotes:

"I go hard"

And still the best:

"I want fair"

Going hard is a pretty shaky excuse for getting by cars twice.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."
