that trailer got me pretty excited guys

I just watched it.  I hope that they explain the fact that there is a storm trooper who does not look exactly like Jango Fett (Boba's dad), because they spent a eff load of time telling us how they all are clones in the last few movies.  I'm sure they will, I mean Han and Luke dressed up like storm troopers that one time.

i think this movie is set pretty far after the return of the Jedi and they only created like a few million clones, so maybe they all died and they aren't all just clones anymore

Or maybe it's a flashback scene and they're going to say that's a young billy d?

Clones were used 18+ years prior to the events of Star Wars IV. In SWIV, Luke wanted to join the academy, presumably to become a pilot for the empire. Pretty sure they were taking volunteers at that time.

Ya, but I bet those clones get all the breaks though.  rough ridin' Empire politics, man.

Sure, but don't you think the Emperor / Darth roll out there to Camino and just say "MORE?"

You've got great points, Pete. I think we just have to accept the fact they casted a non-jango fett storm trooper.

I never even considered that empire stormtroopers might be ep 2 old rep clones. Maybe they are. But I don't think so.

I think they had a mix of clones + volunteers + conscripts. Why would they waste using clones on patrol duties on shitholes like Tatooine?

Quote
Initially, the stormtroopers serve as the army of the Galactic Empire, putting down revolts and establishing Imperial authority. They are the back bone of the Empire.[1] The Stormtrooper Corps swell in size after Palpatine allows the addition of recruits and conscripts alongside the clones, though the replacement of clones by natural beings lowered the effectiveness of the Empire's famed soldiers.
