2003 big12 championship was huge, but these games can put us at that level plus more.

This is where the pressure will get to teams of lesser character and what seperates the Cats from the pretenders.  K-State just calmy takes care of business.

Yes, all games from here on out are more important than the 1998 Big 12 Championship that would have put us in the BCS Title game if we had won. We lost that game in double overtime to texas a&m, in case you forgot.

We're 8-0 and #2 in the BCS. They are all big now.

Yes but at the time we still needed UCLA to lose, in this case he techinically control our destiny.

In 1998 we played a horrible OOC schedule and then only 4 conference games against bowl eligible teams. Then lost the CCG against a bowl eligible team.

Of those 4 conference games against bowl eligible teams, the only team we stomped was Texas. MU by 6, CU by 7, NU by 10 (late pick 6 to end it)

'98, while remembered fondly because we had never been close to that, has already been eclipsed by this year.

There's a good chance that once the regular season is finished, we'll look at the AP/Coaches poll and see that K-State will have played as many as 5 Top 25 teams.   Yes, several on that list right now are a little gimpy, but IF they get their season(s) back on track, they'll finish the regular season in the Top 25.

So yes, it's huge, huge, huge.

If K-State manages to win out, it's going to be effing impressive and I don't care what the Big 12 detractors say.

I can't wait until Saturday.  I am going to get to enjoy watching the #2 team in the nation with my two boys.  I'm not getting crap done at work this week.

I've come around to agree.  Also now think that, as a whole, this team is better than 98.

Yeah, no disrespect to 98, but that team would be 7-1 by now. Maybe 6-2.
