If you had to pick one, it's gotta be the BCS MNC Game... amirite?

The mediots are already starting to pimp Barkley for the Heisman, and the truth of the matter is we need USC to help us a little with either Oregon &/or Oregon State. Assuming the Trojans knock off one or both, it's reasonable to assume that Barkley could steal the Heisman from it's deserving winner, Klein.

Would love to see the crystal ball in Vanier above all, but dammit, I want that Heisman in there as well.

I see the OP's point, we may need Barkley to have a couple of huge games v ND, UO and/or OSU to insure the Cats make the the NC. If the price to be paid is Barkley winning the Heisman but we BCS National Tile party rock on South Beach it will be a bargain.

Not necessarily. These are mutually exclusive outcomes based on the fact that the Heisman votes need to be in by December 1.

Oregon plays USC in Eugene on Nov. 3, however Oregon State won't play SC unless they meet in the Pac12 CCG. Also, USC plays Notre Dame on Nov. 24 and if Barkley has beaten Oregon and goes off on the Domers in the Coliseum, it's fairly likely he could steal the Heisman.

Is this getting to the NC or winning it? I'm going with that option either way but I think some people need some clarification. I took it to mean getting there.

Winning the NC game. It seems that heisman winners haven't faired well in NC games so I would rather Optimus get 2nd in the Heisman and then prove why he should have won it, I think he would agree on this.

This has nothing to do with these teams getting to the BCS game over us. What it has to do with is Barkley's opportunities to steal the Heisman from Klein.

I also agree that while I'd love to see both, seeing us in the the BCS MNC game is most appealing. I disagree that us getting there makes Klein a "lock" for the Heisman, however. Part of us getting there, IMHO, is contingent on some help from USC... Thus putting Barkley in position for the media to pimp an SC player for the award.
