The Triumphant Return of Gems from the Iowa State Games Thread
« on: October 14, 2012, 12:41:49 AM »
Hey fellas.  Dlew here.  In the spirit of my newfound and budding friendship with goEMAW legend ChicoRodriguez, I've made my first attempt to revive his legacy.  Without any further adieu here are the gems from the Iowa State game thread:

Quote
I have a feeling this is the year we finally get over on KSU. The past few years have made me sick. This year feels different! Need a big game from Barnett and Co to score because you know the D is up to the challenge!

Quote
**** you, Collin Klein!
Lots of this.
Quote
Their OL is owning us on that first possession. Hope we regroup.

Quote
Uh...nice no call? ******* ******* ref. Hopefully not a sign of the day.
Quote
Why do we only use woody for short yardage? I wouldn't mine seeing him more in the backfield.
These people absolutely love that weird Woody dude.  He is the whitest-midwesterniest player in college football.  And these people worship him like a god.

Quote
**** YOU LHC Bill Snyder WELCOME BACK TO THE JACK
The guy who posted this is incredible.  I'll annotate his posts with a  :surprised: just to let you know when he posts.

Quote
Why in the *(&^% won't they call holding on KSU? It's every play, and it's obvious.
Quote
The penalty itself is horse ****. It's the Donovan McNabb penalty. Horse collar should be aloud. It's ******** that they made that tackle a penalty.
The horse collar should be allowed?

Quote
TURNOVER!
After TT's muff.
Quote
GOD DAMNIT
Re. Zim's pick on the next play.

Quote
Boy Turd Face LHC Bill Snyder looks like he's ready to coach another 20 years or until the Grim Reaper calls him home.
:surprised:

Quote
ISU-14, KSU-3, zebras-14
Quote
Typical KState football game where they lead us at halftime.

Quote
Boy Billy Bob Snyder looks exceptionally well today and confident but I guess when you have only lost 2 games to ISU since 1989 you mite just be confident LOL
:surprised:

HALFTIME
Quote
The defense is getting owned by the K-state offensive line. The only time we have been able to stop them is when they get a penalty. Our defense is not good today

Quote
Power of positive thought! Believe it, make it!
Quote
We get the wind in the 4th, if we can stay in it until then, that will be a big advantage.
HFBIQ stuff here

Quote
I just want someone to lay out C. klein.
Quote
Darius Walker looks like Chris Rock
:opcat:
Quote
Take that, Purple Tebow. You can't convert every 3rd down!!!
Quote
Even if Ksu wins, like I said earlier are way overrated
lol
Quote
O line is getting owned by KSU. UGLY
Quote
**** that ****. How are we committing so many offsides Penaties this game? We're the home team!
Quote
Bcs just called the booth and told the refs to fix the game
elite

Quote
Is this board filled with KSU people today? Never seen so many debbie downer oh **** we're gonna lose ******* in my life.

Quote
Y U NO TACKLE COLLIN KLEIN?

Seriously. Can it really be that hard? It never looks like he should be able to get so many yards, but he does it to everybody, so ... it must be harder than it looks.

Quote
Feels like this one might be over. ******* COCKSUCKING KANSAS STATE ****HOLES!
Quote
Difference between ISU and KSU: A functioning offense. *sigh*.
Well, and one of the most efficient offenses in the country.
Quote
Well 7 more yeas and KSU will also have a winning record against us this is like Iowa in the 80s. We just can't beat them.
Quote
Yes billy bob er turd face snyder has our number but We can still get lucky and win this game in the 4th qtr. Go Cyclones KNEEPCAP COLLIN KLEIN and give us a chance to win LOL
:surprised:

Quote
I understand why Klein is a Heisman candidate..he frustrates defenses so much. Need a 3 and out right now.
Quote
To be fair... KState is one of the hardest teams to scheme for in the nation... They can beat you with the run, pass, and QB scramble
Second to last ISU drive:
Quote
TIME TO MAKE HISTORY JJJBBB!!!!!
After the turnover on downs:
Quote
**** JB

WHAT THE **** WAS THAT

Quote
I still don't think we lost this one... KState just won it. They are good. I have no shame in losing to them
Quote
Just praying for them not to score so it looks better on the score crawler...
Quote
Go get the best JUCO QB in the nation.
I don't think ISU fans know how recruiting works

POSTGAME:
Quote
Well thats Five F'ing Losses in a row to K-State and turd face snyder. Absolutely Pathetic Boys...
:surprised:
Quote
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WE LOST TO THE #6 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY AND HAD 2 CHANCES TO DRIVE DOWN THE FIELD AND WIN.

DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER WHEN WE USED TO GET BEAT 40+ to 3 EVERY WEEK???

STOP BEING SUCH A BUNCH OF LOSERS AND BE HAPPY THAT THE PROGRAM IS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!!!

OUR GUYS PLAYED A TOUGH GAME AND LOST. IT HAPPENS!
:surprised:

Quote
Could have won that game. Yes, I agree. Would have been great if we did. I'm sure the team is frustrated that they laid it all on the field and lost and missed opportunities.

I guess my point is, as a fan, stop acting like YOU deserve a win from this team. These guys have less athletic talent than their opponent pretty much every week they line up. They play their hearts out and all the fans do is **** and moan.

Give it time before you start expecting to win every week. These are good kids and they bust their balls. People sit on this board during a game against #6 and say how much so and so sucks. Really? Nice support of your team. What do you do for them? They go out there every week and lay it on the line and you must somehow feel like they owe something to you.

Obvious there aren't many former athletes on this board. Go out there and bleed on that field, get knocked senseless, wake up the day after a game where you can barely move and then hear about how much your "fans" think you suck.

Jack wagons

:surprised:

That  :surprised: guy is a personification of why ISU will always be ISU.

wow thanks dlew12. Only complaint is that you're supposed to say something to the tune of "I scanned 38 pages of mold aggie sewer garbage so you don't have to!!"

I never get tired of fans who think that what's holding their offense back is not giving the ball to the slow white full back.  That was great DLew thanks.

Makes me feel slightly better about our tucks that it's not just them who have a weird obsession with the slow white fullback

Dlew, during your time there were you able to get a sense of how confident they are going forward?  Also thanks for putting that together, it was certainly a treat to read.

Well, they hate their quarterback, but they seem very, very confident.

My thoughts?  They're going to lose-out except to KU and whatever upset Rhodes pulls out of his ass. And for ISU fans?  That's good enough.

Speaking of how embarrassing it is to be an Iowa State fan, do you remember on 4th and inches after the play was dead and the ISU guy started pulling on Collin's leg so it looked like he didn't get the first down? What a dweeb.

Scottwildcat and myself will add to this thread later in the day. We've got some gems of our own.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" -ISU students after winters and I walked down to the 4th row of their student sections

"WE'RE GOING TO BE THE eff OUT OF YOU, AND YOU, AND YOU, AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU" (while pointing at winters and I during that one song)-ISU Students

"You're not in Kansas anymore"-ISU students

"Nice purple shirt"-ISU students

"You guys are going to look Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)"-ISU students before a really dumb dance song thing they do during the 4th q

"Thats right mother fuckers"-Me after Collin's 3rd TD
"eff YOU"-Ugly ISU student 4 rows back
"You talking to me?"-Me
"YEAH eff YOU BRO"-Ugly ISU student 4 rows back
"Come on rough ridin' down here :comehere:"-Me
"you know what you got yourself into coming in here shut the eff up"-ISU student across the aisle
"I'm not even mad I love this crap"-Me

After every single tackle "Horse collar! HORSE COLLAR!" "HOW IS THAT NOT TARGETING"

I will leave rest of the gems to winters.

Here is just a sample of the gems I've got while in ames
Friday
Quote
There is too much purple in this eating establishment for my liking
Saturday
Quote
Nice purple shirt you rough ridin' losers
Having the entire student section boo and flip us off was pretty great. I was doing the Chris Harper "bring it" hand thing, they hated that.
Quote
Do you know what is the hardest thing about wearing purple is? Telling your dad that you're gay, phurururur
I then told him my dad died in Iraq and he shut his ugly face. (Dad is alive, LOLZ)

When they would play their "We're gonna beat the hell out of you" song they would point and scottwildcat and myself and say
Quote
You and you and you and you and you and you
We would then just laugh, which made them even more angry and pissed off.
After one of these occurances then guy with body paint came over and was all
Quote
I respect you guys #6, man thats awesome. Wanna know something funny? I'm not even an ISU fan
The LFBIQ was really, really, really bad.
Some grandma was all
Quote
I'm more mad than an Iowa loss, this is our biggest rival now and I just want to rough ridin' beat them.
Her 6 year old grandaughter would answer back with
Quote
GRANDMA WE'RE IN PUBLIC!
Lots of butthurt ISU fans also couldn't tag our sarcastic jokes on the walk home and thought we were, like, dead serious.
After the game we were celebrating quite awesome-like and we had two water bottles and half of a snickers bar thrown at us.

We were also called "Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)" a lot.
