scrap heap of history.

I feel badly for the Seniors.   Recruited by Mangino, forced to watch the next coach be humiliated by the administration, now humiliated further by a 3rd coach.

 :surprised:

He's out of his freaking mind.

I guess a coach can continue to be SCHEMED after the final buzzer has sounded.

I read about this. Amazing is it not. Although I thought they called the season after the first loss. Wonder when Weis is going to move into his house in Lawrence instead of living out of a motel.

Maybe the "lifting weights and running" was running back and forth from the moving truck and carrying furniture into his new home? What a slap in the face... :embarrassed:

Buzz in Lawrence is that Weis' wife and special needs daughter just moved back into their house in South Bend.  There's speculation that Charlie is not thinking about ku long-term--fans were told family was staying in Florida because of support services for special-needs daughter.  Apparently, some diligent fan researched that South Bend is actually worse than Lawrence in terms of meeting needs of Weis' daughter.

Explain lackluster play?

I loved his inspiring quotes after the game where he basically said all his players suck ass and balls and taint and that any high school or juco scrub could come play there right away.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Great timing on Phog.net's part to burn it down right before the game. Very clever. It will be back in full operation once late night arrives.

I watched the game with squawks, and it was very entertaining when they were all celebrating like they won the super bowl down 7 at half. It was much better to win this way than it was the last 2 years because everyone found some enjoyment from the game.

Must be really disheartening to know they threw the entire kitchen sink at us and only had the lead for a couple minutes in the 1st and early 2nd quarter.  :billdance:

They were not disheartened at all. Their super bowl had already lasted a quarter and a half longer than they expected it to, and they appropriately celebrated to the fullest. The smack talk and victory dances when the score was 14-14 were a thing of beauty.

I can confirm this was bigger for them than the men's basketball game against Kentucky earlier this year.

this is an easy 2 or 3 years of making around 5 million then coasting through the rest of this decade.

Ku has already ruined Mangino's and Turner's careers, and now Charlie is already looking like he's a short timer. How are they ever going to get a decent coach in Lawrence?
