K-State's offense is built to grind it out on the ground and then when the secondary gets lulled to sleep expecting the run they catch them with their pants down and hit a homerun ball over the top. Just one problem with that... if the running game isn't working for K-State the element of surprise is gone for their passing game and that turns the K-State passing game into a liability rather then a big play threat. Put Klein in a position where he has to throw the football when you know it is coming and his Taylor Martinez like lack of throwing ability and lack of accuracy will have the ISU secondary creating extra possessions for the Cyclone offense. I think Klein pulls a Steele Jantz and turns the ball over 4 times on Saturday... 3 int's and a fumble that lead directly to ISU points.

All you have to do is shut down the run game and force 4 or more turnovers?  Sounds so easy, I wonder why no other coach has tried that approach...

Hahahhaa how did I miss that one? Klein may not have great passing days week in week out, but the idea that he would ever throw three picks in one game is astounding.

We will average 4.5 YPC (which we averaged last year against these clowns) minimum. Iowa State will not stop our running game and we are far from a "grind it out" offense this year.

TCU ran for 185 (4.3 ypc) and threw for 270, out gaining ISU by 105 yards to the tune of 455 total yards on 83 plays (5.48 ypp, 35:56 TOP), with their backup QB and RB and missing 21 total players from their original roster

The only reason we pass the ball this game is if we get bored running it down their throat. Also, Klein will not have to run a lot, Hubert and our awesome O-line are going to completely take over this game.

Prior to last Saturday, KU had a pretty good turnover margin.  :billdance:

This thread makes me think of the people of Ames discussing future flood possibilities.

"You think 8 sand bags will hold the Skunk back?"

"The new flood manager boss guy says we have a real good shot."

"That's all I need to hear.  Plus, these new sandbags we got aren't as terrible as the ones we used to have."

"And I reckon the ol' Skunk really owes us one, that SOB has made our lives hell for decades."

This is Iowa State's star reciever.  Not a fraternity intramural squad, but a division 1 football team.

What does the Mall of America have to do with anything?  Does he work at the Old Navy during the off season or something?

[qupte] CPR loves to "coach" as well. ISU is a better "coaching" job because we don't get all the top flight recruits. Money isn't everything either as has already been pointed out. Living close to family here in Iowa is priceless for some (myself included). I could leave and double my salary but I make a very good living here in Iowa and this is where I want to be. At $2M/yr CPR can provide pretty much anything his family needs, he has great job security at ISU, and he loves Iowa.

Those are values some folks probably can't understand, but to the right person, they mean more than any number on a paycheck (especially when you already make major coin).[/quote]

they really think that their crap coach is too good for Pig Aggie

They put a lot of faith into a guy who has never won more than 3 conference games in a year.
