They now have a "should we rush the field" thread, where one poster says they should rush the field after every game because it is great team unity or someshit. I mean wtf.

They rushed the field when they beat us in Ames in 2007. In fact, the rushed they field for all 3 games they won that season

We can only hope Rhoads reads CF for his scouting info: http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/football/157986-prepare-jammed.html

Apparently they haven't caught wind they we give a 25 yard cushion every play.

Man. My head hurts after reading that.

Chapman needs a set of binoculars to see his man when the ball is snapped.

I'm not sure who wins right now, but whoever it is, it's by less than 7 points.

Just watched the replay of the KU/KSU game and KU gave them a game, but then began turning the ball over about every position in their territory. They can be ran and passed on. You just cant commit turnovers against KSU and especially in their end of the field, thats how they make their living. I think we match up really well with KSU. I like ISU 27-24.

keys to victory
1. the running game- especially with the possibility of rain saturday. i think we will see alot more of woody. he should get a good amount of carries, and be in there as a blocker. james white should get a season high in carries.

2. time of possession- very important! keep collin klein on the sideline as much as possible. our D is damn good, but their offense is tricky becuase klein can beat you on the ground or in the air.

3. pressure on the QB- something we have lacked in the CPR era, but looked great last week. there were alot of times where we got into the backfield but didn't make the plays on a young QB. klein will burn us if we get into the backfield and he escapes.

4. tackling- k-state is really good and avoiding and breaking tackles, and lets face it, we are not the best tackling out there (not including klein and knott of course)

5. coaching- hear me out on this one... paul rhoads has to out-coach skeletor on saturday. and he is definately capable of doing so. play calling is gonna have to be excellent for us to win. our defensive play calling will have to be flawless as well.

CPR needs to get that guy on staff asap.

Such hard hitting inside like Klein being a dual threat QB.

Also gmafb with CPR outcoaching Bill.

This is Iowa State's star reciever.  Not a fraternity intramural squad, but a division 1 football team.

They say their D is "damn good," but does a "damn good" defense give up over 270 pass yards to a guy who didn't know he was starting until Thursday morning? Or does a "damn good" defense give up 455 yards?

I honestly don't understand their confidence, or their rationalizations, or how they can have such lfbiq. Its mind numbing.

And there's no silverback gorilla in the world that could outcoach a silver-haired fox. And ell oh ell at anyone who thinks it's going to happen (I'm looking at you, floodaggie).

It's like those guys get all of their HFBIQ talking points from a copy of Athlon circa 1996.

_FAN, could you do a quick fan frames showing our corners playing like 30 yard off the ball, just so we can send them the link?

Maybe we only play that far off the ball because our secondary is lightning fast and can come up and jam the receivers anyway and we don't want the receivers to know where the jam is coming from.

K-State's offense is built to grind it out on the ground and then when the secondary gets lulled to sleep expecting the run they catch them with their pants down and hit a homerun ball over the top. Just one problem with that... if the running game isn't working for K-State the element of surprise is gone for their passing game and that turns the K-State passing game into a liability rather then a big play threat. Put Klein in a position where he has to throw the football when you know it is coming and his Taylor Martinez like lack of throwing ability and lack of accuracy will have the ISU secondary creating extra possessions for the Cyclone offense. I think Klein pulls a Steele Jantz and turns the ball over 4 times on Saturday... 3 int's and a fumble that lead directly to ISU points.

Based upon the comment and the score, ISU's crappy offense is going to convert 4 to's into either 24 or 28 points. If that happens, I will send up 100 bags of sand for flood control.
