I am sure just like many of you have a let down game of the year, this year it worries me that it will be against Iowa State. I understand ISU has a good defense and an alright offense, where KSU has a ugly yet great offense, and good defense. As long as Kansas State isn't over looking Ames to be in West Virginia (which we shouldn't because, who the hell really wants to be in WV?) I see Kansas State pulling off a good win in a hell of a battle against an under-rated team.

If KSU can win this game, and can go in and shut down Geno like they did RG3 (who still had damn good stats, just was shut down enough for our offense to win it) last year, KSU can very well be 7-0 before facing a high flying TT offense. Who will get dominated by our defense, which means we will be 8-0 and oh yea we get a close one against OSU, revenge for last year 9-0, TCU has proven if a pass rush is there, the offense is not 10-0, Baylor? they can chuck the ball but, once again against good defense they fall apart 11-0. Texas well we own Texas but, not this year this will be tougher than WV tougher than TCU, this is our 1998 Texas A&M game if we are not careful. Texas has a great defense and a great offense, KSU pulls this one off but, by close numbers 12-0!

Still look for us to be overlooked even if we do finish the season this way as they have Alabama and Oregon pretty much locked in right now, if we can and it is a big IF, but if we can stay undefeated and either Oregon or Bama lose. KSU will be playing for it's first ever BCS National Championship game! (Wait it's been so long did I post this in the right place? eh eff it)
Maybe you folks aren't so bad...

Maybe they'll just swap coaches with Arkansas? Rinse and repeat.  :dunno:

They put a lot of faith into a guy who has never won more than 3 conference games in a year.

some dude was talking about paying Rhoads $3 million. fankly I was shocked that he's making $2 million right now. 10 year contract for a below .500 coach...  :sdeek:

Why would we care about any schools in Iowa?  Honest question

Snyder won more games after the age of 60 than any Iowa State coach ever.

True but that is not why you care about Iowa schools.

I think that's Ferris Bueller's best friend, the one with the dad and the Ferrari.

Isn't Rhoads the least paid coach in the Big 12?

But no permanent coach in a power conference makes less than $1M. John L Smith is making $800k at Arkansas just to fill in. That is just the going rate for a coach.

True.  I thought he made more.  You have a certain part of your fanbase who likes this guy WAY too much.  Ark has to desire in hiring him.

People love him just because he has been able to do things that a coach hasn't been able to do before and that was win some "big" games. I like him because he is the complete opposite of Chiz. I thought he was a good hire at the time but damn he never showed any emotion and I thought he was a terrible coach because it seemed like guys were never prepared for a game.

I will be one of the ones laughing the day that Auburn fires his ass.

BTW, I didn't realize that McFadden, Jones, and Hillis were all in the UA backfield at the same time.   We should hire Nutt immediately and name him HCIW.

I remember watching them and thinking it was crazy that they had 2 guys from the same backfield go in the first round.

Me too.  I just didnt realize Hillis was involved.  FYI, Nutt was also the RBs coach at OSU when Sanders and Thomas were there.  Either the dude can recruit or he's super lucky.
