I'm not saying there will be a bunch of undefeated teams.  I am saying being WV's only loss would improve our bid for a National championship game in any situation, which is what I want.  Being WV/OU's only loss and then one of 2 losses for the other one would look better than beating teams that all end up 6-3 in conference or whatever.  Anyone arguing otherwise is Rick Daris or being stupid and maybe both.

bottom line is this...if kstate goes undefeated, they will be playing for a national championship regardless of how many losses wvu has. to suggest otherwise, you'd have to  ignore every ounce of evidence out there.

if kstate does lose a game or two, then they still have a shot at winning the big12 if all of the other teams have multiple losses as well.

Undefeated teams before bowls:

2011: LSU
2010: Auburn
2009: Alabama, Texas
2008:
2007:
2006: Ohio St

you and i both know that i just fixed your list.

To think that having 3 undefeated teams is an impossibility is ridiculous. Read ChiCat's post. And then move back to Lawrence.

not impossible but very, very unlikely. at least based on all available evidence.

Another good question is this. If Alabama/LSU/Florida/SC, is the winner of the SEC and only has one loss, do they jump and go 2 in the poll behind Oregon? I'm worried that they might. The SEC bias is so strong that I wouldn't put it past some  voters.

Every piece of evidence out there suggests K-State gets kicked in the balls by the BCS.  To suggest otherwise, is ridiculous

Also, Oregon was undefeated in 2010 which is a big omission from that list.

So all available evidence is the list of previously unbeaten teams when the season ended? Why not also look at the schedules they play? Oregon gets USC ( ) and Stanford ( ) . Ohio St. has Wisconsin ( )and Michigan ( ) left. Those teams all suck. Who exactly do you think they are going to lose to?

So all available evidence is the list of previously unbeaten teams when the season ended? Why not also look at the schedules they play? Oregon plays only a few average teams. Ohio St. has Wisconsin and Michigan left, and both of those teams suck.

Nobody gives a crap about Ohio St because they can't play for anything this year

Yeah, I thought they were. I must have looked at the final rankings for 2010 instead of week 15. My bad.

Call me crazy, but I think Tech will beat West Virginia. West Virginia has never played a real schedule. They are coming off one of the biggest wins in school history, and have the #6 team in the nation coming to town in 2 weeks. Texas Tech is a good team who had the misfortune of playing OU after a loss. WVU cannot play defense, and I don't think they will be ready to play next week. They are only a 4 point favorite.

according to http://masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=cf&sub=FBS

odds of going undefeated are:
Bama 71%
Oregon 22%
ND 12.7%
purrrple cats 3.3%
WVU 2.4%

So we're the fav to go undefeated in the big 12 :driving:

Yeah, those Vegas oddsmakers know absolutely nothing about college football. What a joke.

You guys are Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). No way I'd touch that game. Tech can definitely knock them off, at home, after WVU has had to travel that much over the past week, and had a borderline top 10 team the week before and a top 5 team the following week.

I'm only gonna put 50 on it, and only if it drops below -4. Plus I think TTU is going to be a little dejected and lifeless.
