Still haven't figured out what PI stands for although understand it's meaning and have used it successfully.

Well maybe I didn't use it correctly.  Can I PI someone that's not even on the board, like in a real life scenario?  As in

Emo EMAW offered a guy a free shot, he declined, so I yelled and screamed (aka PI'd) at him?

Yes. Usually stated as PI-ing someone in real life.

Yes, we used to modify the term as applicable, but like EMAW, PI isn't really an acronym anymore.  You can PI in any scenario.
