Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I feel like ESPN is going to be heavily influencing the ranking of teams for the playoff and be using the committee as puppets to take the blame away from them.

I will also use this space to rant against ESPNs top 25 games of 2013. Not only did TCU/K-State not make the list but now they are only showing the games on their list that only feature SEC teams. Yes I know K-State/TCU wasn't on an ESPN property but they have shown SEC on CBS games on their countdown.

The top 25 games was complete crap.  They should have just named it what it was "SEC Suckfest 2014".  I understand that they make a ton of money off of lunatic SEC fans but jeezus at least pretend to care about college football outside of the SEC.

4 games ended on last second plays and didnt make the cut. i noticed this as well and have just completely given up on espn. ill watch a game or whatever but their website/bullshit sports "talk" shows and almost everything they put out is garbage sans 30/30

Yep, I closed my ESPN the Mag in disgust a few days ago after reading this.  Also we not in the "almost in" section.  TTech was though.  Picked to finish 7th in the league.

Legitimate question here: Do you think the voters just completely forgot about us? I mean there's no way they think TTU is actually better, right?

I'm not an ESPN conspiracy theorist by any means, I love ESPN, but I'm worried about this ESPN/SEC business partnership and how it will effect their coverage. SEC has managed to get a very cozy relationship with two of the three television entities that cover cover college football. I know there is a selection committee but if you are told so many times what is best I don't know how it doesn't at the very least sit in the sub-conscience.

Georgia projected to have the 7th best defense in the country.  That's absolutely absurd.  Last year:

Points per play: 91st
Yards per play: Tied for 68th.
Takeaways per game: 118th.

What the hell.  That is the most egregious oversight on the entire list.
