I think they took a composite from several rankings and from there I'm not sure what criteria were used in selecting these 5.

They ranked UCLA 8 just like the composite ranking; however, they did not rank K-State (along with Phil Steele) and yet we came out at 17...thanks to CBS and USA today for the #13 rankings respectively.

Yep, I closed my ESPN the Mag in disgust a few days ago after reading this. Also we not in the "almost in" section. TTech was though. Picked to finish 7th in the league.

I will also use this space to rant against ESPNs top 25 games of 2013. Not only did TCU/K-State not make the list but now they are only showing the games on their list that only feature SEC teams. Yes I know K-State/TCU wasn't on an ESPN property but they have shown SEC on CBS games on their countdown.
