The sum of my Romney fears
« on: September 10, 2012, 09:42:18 PM »
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/greed-and-debt-the-true-story-of-mitt-romney-and-bain-capital-20120829
very long in this day and age.  Very well worth the read.  I don't fully support Obama and this election is quickly becoming the lesser of two evils.  Once you understand who Romney works and the affair the modern neoconservative movement is having with Wall Street its a stark reality for America.  Their vision isn't American circa 1928, its much worse.

Deregulation and less taxes on the rich.

It's really the only sensible option.

DNR but I am sure it is a fair, balanced, not skewed in any way, article written by Matt Taibbi.

Obama and Geithner have no ties to Wall Street.
here is something you can't understand.

While both might have ties to Wall Street, one is running on a record of destroying America through those ties.

Also being critical of one isn't an endorsement of the other.

Wall Street has its hooks in Obama up oneside and down the other . . . get real.

The "Wall Street Reforms" are mere slap on the wrist with the wettest of noodles.

Corporate Kleptocracy has thrived under Obama, the military-defense-intelligence complex has thrived under Obama, occupying office park, after office complex, after compound around DC and elsewhere.

Right now in a court of law, the Obama justice department is attempting to thwart a federal judges ruling which suspends the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA which Obama SIGNED last winter.

You're living in a fantasy land . . . NOTHING has changed.

I think you need to re-read what I said.

Wall Street has and is going to do just fine with Obama in the Whitehouse.   They own the guy.

All the talk on military cuts are mere drops in the bucket that can be easily gotten around in the congressional spending process.  They mean nothing.   People who prefer military operations that of the special operations variety and away from congressional oversight should be thrilled with Obama.  People who want an ever expanding foreign and domestic intelligence complex should be thrilled with Obama.

No need to toss about angry Strawman arguments SD.

I never said all Wall Street types and Military types to be pro Obama . . . many of them won't be, but enough will be.

I can't stop laughing at on the right who say that Obama is "Soft" . . . if  you follow it closely enough, Obama just may be one of the biggest thugs ever in the Oval Office.    That's why it's also comical to me knowing how hard the fake peace movement and many Obama supporters bit on the whole "Hope and Change . . . speech at the Berlin Wall" load of crap.   As multiple astute observers have noted Obama is PNAC personified on the world stage.

I don't really care that Obama is a bloodthirsty warmonger (he is) - the article is about Romney being a huge dick who lies and steals for his own wealth.  Not about keeping prisoners at Gitmo.  Which is a huge lie by Obama but not the point of the article.

I do agree, it is a pretty sorry state of affairs when the two primary choices for president are Obama and Romney.

Don't tell FSD that. There is a clear difference between the two.

There's somewhat of a discernable public difference between the 2 on some socio-economic issues . . . that we all know get hammered and dealed out in the backrooms inside the beltway.
