Didn't say you were a pussy if you used it, just said I wasn't one.

The way you are bactracking suggests otherwise.

Yes, you are.  Like a huge pussy.

I always thought that if I wanted every intimate detail of my life out there for everyone to know, I'd just go onto a hackers forum and post my SSN.  Would do the same thing.

It's hard enough keeping privacy in this world without everyone watching all your comments.

I also feel no raging need to talk about myself and the mundaneness of everyday life all the time.  I don't need that much bentard-style self-validation to boost my ego.

It's a way to stay in touch with people without having to actually talk to them.

It's a way for people, who annoy you, to feel like they are staying in touch with you. People like your crazy aunt who will call or come for an unannounced visit. Instead you let them be your facebook friend, then you post a couple of pictures every 5-6 months, and they don't call you or come buy. Yet, they still feel like they know what's going on with you.

Basically Facebook, when used properly, is a diversion tool to keep annoying friends/family/co-workers out of your hair

nope, with caller ID you just ignore them and the problem persist. with facebook you can give them the attention they need without dedicating too much time. if you work in an office it's especially convenient.

I have heard that FB is a great medium to run an escort service through.

There's an elite club of emawbbsers that is only accessible via facebook.  it helps us organize talking points, katpaks, and who to poster intimidate.

hth.

This

Mom - "Is there another website you could use to post your fbomb ridden rants? One that nobody can see?"
"That's what you get when you let some dude from Los Angles/Texas with the alias Mookfu raw dog it.  Willesgirl can back me up here.  There's a lesson in this.  You only get HIV once; make it count." - Mr. Bread
