It's only fluky if it benefits K-State. Nothing fluky at all when OU turns it over against Notre Dame or the replay officials beat Stanford, that's just the luck of the Irish.

Why don't they bring up that the big 12 is easily the toughest conference top to bottom? The only reason our remaining schedule appears to be getting easier is because someone has to lose these conference games. Tcu was ranked a long time but their losses are just a product of a brutal league schedule.

Well here's what scares the crap out of me...Oregon actually jumped 2 places in 2 computer polls this week by beating a ONE win Colorado team.

Yep, that's the same reason so many SEC teams are ranked. They don't play each other. Alabama is only going to play one out of Florida/South Carolina/Georgia (none if LSU beats Bama and wins the West). If Georgia wins out, they win the East but will miss either Alabama or LSU. Too bad the SEC's dick is firmly down ESPN's throat or else they might look behind the curtain and realize that maybe so many SEC teams are ranked because so many of them don't play each other due to an 8-conference game schedule despite having 14 teams. Pretty easy for a conference to look good when you only play 2/7 teams from the other half as opposed to a round robin.

Assuming the human polls basically stay how they are between us and the ducks, their computer ratings have to get up to .94 to jump us...I don't see the computers all of a sudden making Oregon 2 & 3's when they are at 4/4/5/5/8/5 currently.

Brian Kelly seems like a POS human. Like if a car filled with a bunch of kids wrecked in front of him and was clearly going to burst into flames in a few minutes he would just drive right on by because it's not his problem and after all he's the coach of ND and has a schedule to maintain.

Yes...mainly florida and oregon state. I've gone back a looked and I still think we are in pretty good shape. We can move up in a few computer polls given our schedule and oregon looks like they could pass us in only ONE or maybe two polls. Either way, it will be difficult for them to overtake us....I could see our computer # being .99 or at worst .98 at the end of the year....at .98 that would mean oregon would need to average a ranking of 2.5 in the computer polls to pass us (assuming the harris and coaches poll stay the same). That would mean they would need to pass either us or alabama in at least half of the computer polls (and they are well behind us/alabama in every poll currently). I feel a little better.

So basically from everything I've read and heard it's going to come down to style points and how well the teams left on Oregon's and Our schedule perform. If we can win more impressively than Oregon does then we might steal some more second place votes. If our remaining SOS can remain close with Oregon's (like it currently is) then they won't be able to make up enough ground in the computers to account for their loss of second place votes to us. Going to be

the rest of the season...As if this season wasn't already making me completely unproductive at work and school.
