The Ed From Vegas
« on: September 09, 2012, 09:00:23 AM »
He was on here Friday to post his conference realignment plan but couldn't figure out how to post.  I'm going to call him today or tomorrow to help him out.

Anyway, he likes what he's seeing out of the Cats this year.  Here's this week's Top 25.

We talked conference strength on the show last night.  I believe the Ed sees both the Big 12 and Pac 12 as better than the SEC.

A lot of the college football talk starts about an hour & 46 in.  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/lcs/2012/09/09/the-ed-show-saturday-nite-speshil

Got off the phone with the Ed a little bit earlier and I'm expecting him to join us here later tonight.

He gets up at like 4 a.m. every day.  Probably sleepy after a long day of gambling.  Hit him up at @TheEdFromVegas.

I DID A REPLAY USING MY MAGIC DICE TO SEE HOW THIS NEW ALINEMENT WULD WORK OUT - I TOOK EACH SCHOOLS BEST YEARS IN MY OPINION FROM 1996-2011 AND HAD THEM PLAY A HOLE SEASON. (FOR KANSAS STATE I USED 1998)

FEATURES OF THIS LEAGUE REPLAY:

11 GAME REGULAR SEASON SKEDULE - (2 NON. CONF. GAMES AND 9 CONF. GAMES)

A FOUR TEAM CONFRANCE TOURNAMENT AT THE END OF THE REGUALR SEASON (NCAA SHOULD DO THIS)

A 16 TEAM PLAYOFF TO DETERMINE THE NATIONAL CHAMPION (10 CONF. CHAMPS, 6 AT LARGE BIDS) IF YOU WIN YOU CONFRANCE YOU ARE AUDOMATICALLY IN THE PLAYOFFS, THE AT LARGE BIDS ARE TEAMS THAT WIN THE CONF. TOURNAMENT OR GOOD 2ND PLACE TEAMS !!!

------------------------

NON CONF. OPPONENTS ARE DTERMINED BY A SIMPLE FORMULA: EVERY CONFRANCE IS MATCHED UP AGINST ANOTHER CONFRANCE AND YOU PLAY YOUR 2 NON CONF. GAMES BASED ON THE ORDER OF FINISH FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR. (NO PREVIOUS YEAR WAS AVAILABLE SO I RANKED IN EACH IN EACH CONFRANCE) SKEDULES LOOK LIKE THIS

1ST PLACE TEAM - PLAYS OTHER CONFRANCES 1ST PLACE AND 10TH PLACE TEAM
2ND - PLAY 2ND AND 9TH
3RD - PLAY 3RD AND 8TH
4TH - PLAY 4TH AND 7TH
5TH - PLAY 5TH AND 6TH
6TH - PLAY 6TH AND 5TH
7TH - PLAY 7TH AND 4TH
8TH - PLAY 8TH AND 3RD
9TH - PLAY 9TH AND 2ND
10TH - PLAY 10TH AND 1ST

------------------------------

KANSAS STATE WAS RANKED #2 IN THE MOUNTAIN VIEW CONFRANCE SO IN THIS REPLAY THEY PLAY AGAINST THE PAC-10 'S 2ND AND 9TH RANKED TEAMS.

KANSAS STATE SCHEDULE FOR THIS REPLAY

WASHINGTON STATE (1997)
AT OREGON (2010)
COLORADO (1996)
BOISE STATE (2009)
BYU (1996)
KANSAS (2007)
AT NEVADA (2010)
UTAH (2004)
AT NEBRASKA (1997)
AT MISSOURI (2007)
AT TEXAS A&M (1998)

I WILL POST THE HOLE LEAGUE SCORE AND WE SHALL SEE HOW WELL K-STATE CAN DO !!!

this is pretty fascinating stuff.

i would have rivalries between these conferences where each team has to play one non-con with the other conference in the rivalary
ACC versus Big 10
SEC versus Elite 10
Mountain View versus Pac 10
Big East versus Big 12

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Just curious why Nevada was picked instead of UNLV.  Thanks and I'll listen off-air.
