Author Topic: Pre-Student Section Withdrawal - Support Needed (Read 6526 times)

I need your support.

Three years ago I could barely sleep before a 'Cats home game so I would lay in my bed and try to rest my eyes. By 5am I would give up, throw on some purple, grab BigDCat, put him in a snuggie and go drink beers in the back of a pick up until someone woke up to drive us to the fields.

There, I'd switch to liquor so I'd get mad enough to make borderline racist comments (it's okay because I'm black) at most of the visiting team from the student section. I do believe I with all my heart that I made a difference. I got in their heads. I did my job as a cat fan to help those young people win.

Now, I've graduated. BigDCat moved back to the Big D. I am not eligible to buy student tickets. I now sit with my beautiful mother, teenage sister, and random shirt tucks in section 5 who I grew up around.

I just dont know if I can deal with the binoculars from the 12th row, the constant commentary about what Stan had to say about that play, or the insistence that they need to "tackle him to the ground!", "run faster", or "how athletic that number four on defense is."

Even with all the 16 goals videos, people coming back for the game, and general buzz of football starting again, I just cannot seem to get that excited for watching the game. This makes me sad. Really, really sad.

I need your support.

hey man, take it from me (a guy entering his 3rd year in the ICat with atleast 1 more season, maybe even a victory lap year) you're going to hate your life and it sucks to be you!

STUDENTS RULE!!!! (for 2 years maybe a 3rd then after that I will bitch about how bad they are and probably become a tuck seems like the easiest transition)

at least do this for the big12 games. sitting 2nd row with dlew12 for the baylor game was the best thing that happened to me in 2011.

At least you don't have to put up with the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) frat kid, who thinks he knows the game, and screams at OB's to make a QB change every play. Totally. In my opinion, the student section has stupider fans, its just more acceptable to stand and be angry there, which is why its more awesome.

As someone who is not in a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) frat, I'd liked to agree with fanning that the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) frat kids were the worst part of my student section experiences.

I enjoyed my time in ICat, but I am really liking not being in the student section. Not having to stand the whole game, and having reserved seats is nice. Plus I don't have to deal with stupid girls that are there just to look cute while looking for a big stick to ride that night, Those dumb bitches are the worst.

Yes, I too was in frat. No, I was not nor am currently Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). But yes, the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) frat guys definitely disappointed me.

I would like to say that a certain Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) frat kid made my entire junior year by getting stupid drunk before the game and constantly tried to start the wave by running up and down the row and throwing his hands in the air and screaming incoherently. We need more senseless

out of that from the frat community.
