I have only read that it might become a "hurricane," and even then I haven't read anything that suggests that it will be a high category hurricane.  Am I mistaken?

I have only read that it might become a "hurricane," and even then I haven't read anything that suggests that it will be a high category hurricane.  Am I mistaken?

It is the first real TS/Hurricane in a long team so the media has go make everyone think they are going to die even though it will probably just rain a bit.

It may actually end up being a little worse than that. Most of the schools have closed for the week already.

it could be high cat 2 or even 3 when it makes landfall. gulf waters are very warm. katrina was a cat 5 coming in but was a cat 3 when it made landfall.

used to enjoy watching these storms for days when i was younger. Now that it inflates gas prices and stuff i don't care for them. Hopefully this will at least bring some rain this way.
