I don't know exactly how all this crap works, but I'm pretty sure that these foreign teams just play a bunch of tournaments to decide who will get to play against Team USA in the finals of whatever the most important tournament is. It was the Olympics last month, but there is probably another tournament next summer after the NBA finals. LeBron and the other good players aren't going to play in the summer right after the Olympics, but guys like Kevin Love and James Harden will stick around.
