Author Topic: Seriously, do you know how to get rid of moles? (Read 3750 times)

I've tried the "poison peanuts" in the cone but without success. I'm not sure if I can recognize an "active tunnel" well enough to use a trap, but regardless, there are so many claims and counter claims online that it's hard to decide what to try. Especially when some of it is expensive.

Anyone have personal experience where they've successfully rid their yard of moles? If so, please share!

Found online: Foxes and coyotes often dig moles out of their hideouts, and so do weasels. Snakes sometimes catch them, too

Sounds like you need foxes, coyotes, snakes and weasels. Make sure the snake is large enough.

i discovered the solution this year.

moles come to your yard because of the grubs and worms and stuff in your yard. so if you don't water your yard all summer and it turns to crap, then they go away.

my yard is a barren wasteland, but i have no rough ridin' moles.

What ok cat says about the grubs is true but you can do it without the barren wasteland part,find a good grub killer

This did not solve my mole problem.

My neighbor got rid of the moles in her yard by dropping chewed bubble gum in the holes...sounds like an old wives tale to me, but the summer after she did that, she said she didn't have any more moles, and that is when they showed up in my yard. For reasons unknown to me, I haven't dropped bubble gum in the mole holes yet...I have put down copious amounts of grub killer though.

I killed one this spring...when I saw it tunneling, I ran & grabbed my bow & fired that mofo right into the ground

Most moles can be removed with a simple procedure. How big is it?

I have heard the bubble gum trick as well. The way I heard it, you just leave a few sticks of unwrapped, wrigley spearmint gum laying around. They love the smell so they come eat it, then they die because they can't digest it.

One time my grandpa poured a bunch of gasoline in their tunnels and blew up the back yard. Not sure if it worked or not.

Does anyone know of a anti-mole product that captures the leader mole, the one who decided to attack your yard, and then makes him watch while it kills all of his mole friends and family one by one. And then takes him out into the country and lets him go and makes him live the rest of his life knowing that he was the reason every mole he ever cared about is dead.

Unfortunately, moles are almost blind.
