The Big12 having 9 additional big boy Fox nationally televised games in addition to our 18 ABC tier 1 games is pretty goddamned elite.

It'd be really fun to win all these night games by one hundred touchdowns (or more).

right in front of our biggest fan....America

Can you imagine all the people around the country, the Monday after the game, talking about it with their coworkers?

"Did you see the K-State game on Saturday night?" - some dude in Maine
"Of course I saw it. I LOVE K-State." - some dude in Maine's coworker
"Man, can you believe Collin Klein had 76 touchdowns?" - some dude in Maine
"I KNOW! He could have had another one too, but Snyder put Sams in for the 4th quarter" - some dude in Maine's coworker
"Sams was amazing. Think he'll win the Heisman next year?" - some dude in Maine
"Yeah, man. If he stays healthy, I think he'll definitely have a good shot at it" - some dude in Maine's coworker
"Me too. Go cats" - some dude in Maine

The national tv slots to # of teams ratio is so high that we even had enough room to give KU a national game.

and Bill already told Mack the TX game was going to be a night game and you know that mother is going to be a national broadcast.  TCU game should be one too.

I don't know if we'll get the night game (other game is OU at TCU), but of those two games, one will be the 2:30 ABC (national, no other games to regional it with) and the other will be the 7:00 ABC.

We had nothing to lose.  It was gravy.  If we lose this year, we have nothing to look forward to except a rebuilding effort...and if Bill leaves we don't even get to see Sams.

All I am saying here is that I remember 1998 AND 2004 like they were yesterday...and 1998 ain't walking through that rough ridin' door.

You know ABC is putting their Longhorns in the national broadcast against Fox's Wildcats.  You know it.

we blew every team out in 1998.  that season was a cakewalk.  we almost lost our first rough ridin' game last year.  the anxiety never let up.  it almost killed me.

Hey dumbass, did you watch the NU and MU games in 1998?

Also, Corby gets mad about it to this day.

there's definitely more on the line this time than 2004.  a flop this season could bury k-state football for good.  for good.  let that soak in for a minute.  cat fans.

can you even just imagine the behind the scenes conversation between network bigwigs about this development?

"bill, we're getting hammered on saturdays. hammered i tell you."

"ron, I agree. that's why i've already put together a plan to start airing kansas state wildcat football games nationwide as soon as possible."

"heckuva plan bill. whatdya say we go down some macallan 25 and then call it a day."

Rupert Murdoch- "alright guys, this better be good. we've absolutely been getting slaughtered on saturdays."

bill-"well. ron and i just figured out a way to get a kansas state football game nationally broadcasted in primetime."

Rupert Murdoch- "god damnit that's not enough. get out of my office and don't come back until you can get us at least three kansas state football games that we can broadcast nationally."
