you guys, let's feel free to talk about sports.  that's all I'm saying.  If you think the cats are going to be great, I'm not going to discourage you.

I hope we win.

I don't give a crap where anyone picks us. If, on July 21st, before the season has even started, you don't think we are going to win the whole gosh darned thing, then something must be wrong with you.

Rusty, that's what I like about your posts.  Nine out of ten posts may be negative, but the one positive post trumps the other nine ever time.

Some no-team-affiliation tuck just interrupted me checking out at the grocery store to 1) tell me I had a whole lot of purple on (I was wearing black gym shorts and the free purple Big 12 shirt the DUs gave all the MOAP'rs that one time) and 2) that he can't believe K-State got picked 6th in the conference.  Told him that seemed about right, and he didn't talk to me anymore.

#2 is the first thing my parents asked me today after not talking to me for a couple weeks.

why did your parents not talk to you for a couple weeks jakesie? everything ok in jakesieville?

I am not. I usually just text with my mom, my dad doesn't care to learn about this  recent advancement in communication technology. He doesn't even have e-mail. I pretty much just talk to my parents in person. In fact, my mom didn't feel the need to let me know my dad went to the hospital this summer. She told me when Mrs. Stevesie60 and I had dinner with them a week later.

If you're in the field, and you see a dust trail from another vehicle while you're working, you'll drive out to see who it is, and will almost always have a roadside conversation with them, no matter who it is.

Northeast Kansas.  Call my mom a few times a week.

also, we're going to be incredible this season and have another double-digit win season.  10 games?  11 games...12 games?

MAYBE!

Everyone wants to credit the genious Bill Young but some of that is just luck.  KSU has a far greater chance of repeating their plus 12 then OSU does of repeating plus 21 with 44 take aways but you won't read that anywhere.

I just posted this on the other thread.

You think our defense causing turnovers is a fluke?

2012 will field the best defense in Gundy's time at OSU.

OSU fans are apparently very sensitive about this. TMB posters had issues as well.

Defense wont be OSU's issue in 2012. Their issue will be starting a true freshman QB who shares facial characteristics with special needs children.

OSU's QB knew the offense so well he taught it to his new OC in the off season.  This year, they have a true frosh QB.  Either they got super lucky in their QB recruiting, or they will drop off this year.  Not saying they will suck, but to say that a frosh will replace Weeden with no drop off is Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  Like, really Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

Not disagreeing, but it's not like they're stuck with a true frosh.  If he starts, it's because he beat out a rs-junior in Chelf who has played mop up duty the past two seasons.  Plus Lunt is pretty rough ridin' good
even for a true frosh: A two-time state champion in Illinois...Missed the early portion of his senior season with injury but returned to throw for 3,650 yards and 31 touchdowns and just four interceptions while completing 73 percent of his throws ... Set a state record with a 590-yard passing game ... Also holds Illinois high school records for passing yards and completions in a state championship game ... Over his last two seasons he amassed more than 7,000 passing yards, had 65 touchdown passes and
just eight interceptions.  He can rough ridin' sling it.

Certainly some drop off is to be expected though.  Weeden was a grown ass man.

Seriously had no idea they played football in the state if Illinois.  Knowing this true freshman is from
Illinois, I'm fairly certain we beat osu by 21.

:dubious: :shakesfist:  I played football in Illinois and I can assure you it was very elite.

If it was so elite, then what was your rivals star rating?
