This is a pretty good take from someone who didn't like it:

Damn, she's right. The whole final episode played out like a revenge/farewell fantasy. So what if the final episode played out exactly the same, except the final scene shifted back to Walt, frozen to death in the snowed-in car, and you realize everything you just witnessed in that final episode was Walt's dying fantasy? That would have made for an awesome ending.

I would have been more outraged than I was for the Lost finale.

I agree it would have been good, but I think Vince Gilligan would rather the show be cancelled than end it with a dream/fantasy sequence.

will be interesting to see how mad men does. the sopranos did better than BB, but the wire isnt anywhere on there.

No one realized how incredible The Wire is until after it was over.

Ratings should be based on % of possible viewers. Everyone and their dog has ABC/NBC/CBS so obviously more people will watch. Shows on HBO/cable having 10 mil+ viewers is pretty damn impressive.

Me, for when Stevesie says "BB is the best of all time" and I can respond "Ally McBeal's numbers say not so fast my friend"

Yeah, when BB is getting topped by shows like Jake and the Fat Man, there's a problem with the list.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

BB had the luxury of having Netflix to allow people to get caught up. I didn't start watching until about a year ago but was caught up by the time Season 5 started last fall because Seasons 1-4 were online. The Wire also didn't have social media to help build hype either...

That said, BB > The Wire

Prior to starting the show a month ago, there was an apparent overlap of people that made strong recommendations to watch The Wire. Didn't enjoy the show for the three episodes I watched.

Apples and Oranges, I guess.

I blame them for depriving me of BB for so long.  :shakesfist:
