Yeah, that would be perfect, but Currie would never be willing to pay two head coach salaries at once like that.

I agree completely. I just don't think Currie would ever go for not only hiring a disgraced coach, but hiring him before Bill even retires. We will end up with some coach who did things the right way but was fired for performance, just like basketball.

Almost every great coach has been fired at some point.

The best thing about hiring Tressel in my mind would be that he's still allowed to recruit. So when he's serving his suspension, he can go out and recruit kids while all of the other head coaches are out running practices and coaching games. It seems like he would be able to put together quite a class in his first season, especially if he were hired when Bill is still coaching and the team didn't really suffer because of the suspension.

You are suggesting something totally badass and foolproof so there is no way Currie does that.
