Official Petition to Start Women's Softball Program
« on: July 14, 2012, 03:21:40 PM »
We must start a women's softball team at Kansas State University. There are too many good softball players around in the state to not be a perennial power. Contrary to what you pigs believe, women are just as athletic as men and should be treated so. If we can't pump a couple million in women's softball, shame on John Currie!

as Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) as this post is, K-State needs more varsity sports.  Men's Soccer and Rowing, Women's Softball could be started tomorrow if we scratched the checks.

They may leach money, but track, volleyball and sometimes baseball aren't losery.

If given the choice between more sports or higher budgets for existing sports, I'd gladly take the latter.  Men's soccer would be great, but so would not getting raped in football recruiting anymore.

I don't think it's an either/or thing, though. We are currently bringing in record high revenues and cutting back on recruiting budgets to make the profits even higher.

yeah, but if you want to add money to men's sports don't you have to add womens sports?  isn't that a thing or something?

We spent more on football recruiting last year than Texas, FWIW.

That is interesting, but understandable. I mean, the only money Mack has to spend is on gas, electricity, and a body guard. Drives to work, flips on the light and has a bouncer at the door one in and one outin' every 5* waiting to talk to Mack.

Played soccer growing up (1st team all state  :eye:), but I think it's pretty horrible to watch.  Agree that Old Stadium would be cool, but would still require copious amounts of booze.

It is pretty ridiculous that we don't have DI wrestling, softball, and (at least girls) soccer.  I'll add that having women's rowing and equestrian is pretty dumb too.

How is it that the title IX scholarship deal works? I know they basically have to give out so many women's scholarships to make up for all the football ones.  Still, our choices for women's sports are pretty absurd.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
