Pro Tip for those not driving: Fly into Pittsburgh and it's an hour south from there.

tickets are 200 right now if you fly on thursday from MCI. not bad, but the logistics/money of getting a rental car would complicate things.

good grief, you can get a $200 RT and you are still considering driving?  would you like me to book a rental car for you?  weekend rental car rates are nothing.

yeah, but then you have to answer about whether you want rental car insurance, and I just don't have the time for that kind of stuff.

Maybe he could catch a ride with the guy who's afraid of moving to San Diego because of 25k in student loans.

also, in regards to renting a car, do you have to be 25 to rent one? I thought this was the case, and that would eliminate my crew. Young, wild and free, ya know.

I know in several states that's the case. I believe its a state law, so it could change. They want you to have your own insurance and not be on your parent's anymore. Stupid law, IMO.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Is there that big road trip thing with a U.S. map in the Union still?  I would consult that.

According to Enterprise (we'll pick you up), it looks like you can be under 25 and rent in WV.

Fly to Pittsburgh, and drive the 300 feet to Morgan town.  That's the only way I'd do it.

I want to go with you Pete.

OK, let's do it.

Should we arrange a couch burning to attend in advance or just play it by ear.  I would really hate to miss out on that.

Most places just charge you an extra fee if you are under 25.

I think wnk is right that it's just an extra fee.  I remember Hertz had a discount code at one point that would eliminate the fee as a promotion at one time.

We have to arrange this.  I want several applicants to choose from.  I want to witness the best.

Should we start an open thread on here or maybe on wemustignite?

Yup, guess its an extra $10 a day if you're under 25 and they won't rent you anything too nice.

FWIW, they wouldn't let me rent a car in Vegas last summer. That's why I said that stuff earlier, I'm not stupid, you guys.

Use an electric razor*. Never shave with a blade if you normally do this though because you will get the worst razor burn in the world which sucks really bad.

*Unless this is about blending in in Morgantown, because then you want to grow a nice long mountain beard.  Make sure it is appropriately white trashy and hillbillyish.

I drove to Marshall for that game and it pretty much sucked, really long boring shitass drive. The people were pretty nice though I guess.

Marshall is on flatland next to the river.  From Marshall to Morgantown is a beautiful mountain drive.
